Import Keg Punk Data into Excel
Updated: Apr 15
NOTE: The Keg Punk Dashboard is only compatible with Keg Punk 2.0 or later.
Keg Punk by itself is awesome. Keg Punk and a specially built Excel workbook is even better. With the Keg Punk Dashboard workbook you can import your taproom data and automatically generate some kick-ass visuals to take your brewery to the next level.
Check out the guide below on how to import data into the Keg Punk Dashboard workbook.
JUMP TO SECTION:

FIND THE KEG PUNK LOG FILE
On the Raspberry Pi running Keg Punk, open File Manager from the menu. The file you're looking for is called "Log.csv". Unless you've changed things around, the file will be at:
/home/pi/Arithmech/KegPunk/Inventory

Once you've found the file, copy it from the Raspberry Pi to your PC. You can either copy/paste the file onto a flash drive or email the file to yourself and retrieve it on your PC.
IMPORT TO WORKBOOK
Open up the Keg Punk Dashboard workbook and click "IMPORT"

SELECT THE LOG FILE
Navigate to wherever you saved the Log file, select it and click "Open"

The import process will take a few seconds. You should get a confirmation message if everything went smooth.

Each row of data represents an emptied keg or tank. The data you see is everything you've emptied through the Taproom tab, or allocated through the Cellar tab.

DASHBOARD
The Dashboard tab sums up the imported data.
Use the INPUT YEAR slicer in the top left to narrow down the data to a specific year, or view multiple years worth of data.

If you prefer to print up a hardcopy, head to the Dashboard (printable) sheet and hit ctrl+p to get a preview and print.
